What we do with your information.
This Policy explains what personal data TaxKitab collects, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and what rights you have. It applies to taxkitab.com and to personal data we handle in the course of providing our services.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
1. Who we are
TaxKitab is an accounting, tax and compliance practice with its principal office at Office No. 322, 3rd Floor, Amanora Chambers, Magarpatta Road, Hadapsar, Pune, Maharashtra 411028, India.
For the purposes of Indian data protection law, TaxKitab is the Data Fiduciary in respect of personal data for which it determines the purpose and means of processing. Where we process personal data on a client's instructions — for example, employee data supplied to us for payroll — we act as a Data Processor on that client's behalf.

2. What we collect
2.1 Information you give us

2.2 Information collected automatically
When you use this website we collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, time spent and referring source, through analytics tools.
2.3 What we do not collect
We do not ask for card numbers, CVV or banking passwords on this website. Payments for digital publications are processed by a third-party payment gateway, and card details are handled by that gateway, not by us.

We do not sell personal data. We do not share it for third-party advertising.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal data only where necessary, and only with:
- Government and statutory authorities — the Income Tax Department, GST Network, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, EPFO, ESIC and equivalent bodies, where a filing or response requires it.
- Service providers and platforms — accounting software, cloud storage, communication tools and our payment gateway, each engaged to support delivery of the services.
- Associate professionals — where a matter requires a step reserved to a licensed professional, such as filing before the Trade Marks Registry. Only the information needed for that step is shared.
- Our personnel and sub-contractors — bound by confidentiality obligations equivalent to our own.
- Where required by law — a court, regulator or competent authority.
We do not disclose client information to anyone else without your consent.
5. Where data is processed
We are based in India and process personal data in India.
If you are located outside India, your personal data will be transferred to and processed in India in order to deliver the services. Where the UK GDPR, EU GDPR or another regime applies to you, the appropriate transfer terms are agreed as part of the engagement documentation.
6. How long we keep it

We do not keep personal data longer than we need it for the purpose it was collected for, or longer than the law requires.
7. How we protect it
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures, including access controls limited to personnel who need the data, confidentiality obligations on all personnel, secure storage on managed platforms, and access to client systems granted under the client's own controls rather than duplicated onto ours.
No system is entirely secure and transmission over the internet carries inherent risk. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and information sent to us before an engagement is confirmed should not include sensitive material.
If a personal data breach occurs, we will follow the notification requirements applicable to us.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law and to our legal obligations, you may:
- Access — ask what personal data we hold about you
- Correct — ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Erase — ask us to delete data, where we are not required to retain it
- Withdraw consent — where processing rests on consent
- Nominate — nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity
- Complain — raise a grievance with us, and escalate to the relevant authority if unresolved
To exercise any of these, write to raviaswale@taxkitab.com. We may need to verify your identity first.
Where we hold data as a processor on a client's instructions — for example your employer's payroll — requests should be directed to that client, and we will support them in responding.
9. Grievance redressal
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your personal data, write to our Grievance Officer at raviaswale@taxkitab.com with the details.
We will acknowledge your grievance and respond within 30 days.
If the matter remains unresolved, you may escalate it to the appropriate data protection authority in your jurisdiction.
10. Cookies and analytics
This website uses cookies and similar technologies for basic functionality and for analytics, which help us understand how the site is used in aggregate.
You can control or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking them may affect how parts of this website work.
11. Children
Our services are directed at businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, write to us and we will delete it.
12. Third-party links
This website links to third-party sites, government portals and payment platforms. Those are governed by their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. The version published on this website applies from the date shown above. Where a change materially affects how we handle your data, we will communicate it to affected clients.
