What sits on the desk

Everything India-side, under one scope.

Most overseas companies end up with a company secretary for filings, an accountant for books, someone else for payroll and a fourth party for tax. This collapses that into one engagement.

Setting up

India entry

Choosing between subsidiary, branch and liaison office, incorporation, PAN and TAN, bank account coordination and the post-incorporation obligations that start immediately.

Books

Accounting & reporting

Monthly bookkeeping on your platform, reconciliations, and a reporting pack your head office can consolidate from without reformatting it.

People

Payroll & statutory

Salary processing with provident fund, state insurance, professional tax and salary tax deducted at source — plus the registers and exit settlements.

Tax

GST & income tax

Registration, monthly returns, annual filings, tax audit where applicable, and correspondence with the department when a notice arrives.

Registry

ROC & corporate

Annual MCA filings, director KYC, board and shareholder documentation, and event-based forms as changes happen.

Cross-border

Money movement

Coordination on remittances, withholding on payments abroad, and the documentation your bank and your auditor will both ask for.

Why a single desk

The gaps between vendors are where the penalties live.

When books sit with one firm, payroll with another and filings with a third, nobody owns the reconciliation between them — and the first sign of a problem is usually a notice. A single scope means the same team that keeps the books also files the returns, so the numbers agree by construction rather than by luck. You get one person to ask, one monthly pack, and calls scheduled in your working day instead of at the end of ours.

Typical situations

What usually brings a company here.

First hire

You've hired someone in India

One person on the ground, and suddenly a set of registration and payroll questions nobody at head office can answer.

New entity

The subsidiary is registered

Incorporation is done, and the post-incorporation obligations started running from the date on the certificate.

Handover

The existing provider isn't working

Filings late, questions unanswered across a time difference, and nobody able to explain what the numbers mean.

Notice

Something arrived from the department

A notice in a language and format head office can't read, with a deadline attached to it.

Diligence

An investor is asking

Someone wants to see the India entity's filing status and books, and the answer needs to be clean.

Wind-down

You're closing the India operation

Exiting properly matters as much as entering — settlements, final filings and a clean closure rather than a dormant liability.

FAQ

What head offices ask first.

Do you handle our home-country filings too?

No. We are an Indian firm and we handle the India side. Your local accountant keeps the home-country work, and we coordinate with them directly so the group numbers tie up.

What are your working hours relative to ours?

Standard hours are Monday to Saturday, 9:30 AM to 8:00 PM India time. Calls are scheduled in your timezone, and overlap expectations are agreed at the start rather than assumed.

Can you take over from our existing provider?

Yes. A structured handover — trial balance, open items, statutory logins, pending filings — is the first step. We check what's actually filed rather than what we're told is filed.

What reporting do we get?

A monthly pack with the financials, statutory position and anything that needs a decision — in a format your finance team can consolidate from directly.

We don't have an entity yet. Can you still help?

Yes — that's often where the conversation starts. See global payroll and India entry for the options and what each one commits you to.
