A finance team for your UK business, without a UK hire.
Monthly bookkeeping, reconciliations, VAT working and management accounts run from Pune, in Xero or QuickBooks — with your accountant or ours-to-yours handover kept clean. Your UK tax filings stay where they belong: with your UK accountant.
We are an Indian firm. Statutory UK filings — VAT submission, CT600, Companies House — are made by you or your UK accountant. Arrangement as on 03 Aug 2026.
Two very different reasons to call us.
Most offshore accounting pages talk to everyone at once. These are genuinely different engagements, so it's worth saying which one you are.
You need the books kept, properly
A limited company or growing business that wants monthly books, clear numbers and a year-end pack your accountant can work from — without hiring a bookkeeper.
- Monthly bookkeeping in your existing Xero or QuickBooks
- Bank, card and supplier reconciliation
- VAT working prepared for review and submission
- Payroll journals and month-end accruals
- Management accounts you can take to a lender or investor
- Year-end pack handed to your UK accountant
You need capacity, not headcount
An accounting or bookkeeping practice that wants a delivery layer behind your own brand — particularly through the January and year-end crush.
- Work delivered on your software, to your checklist
- Your file naming, your review points, your client contact
- Seasonal capacity without a permanent hire
- Confidentiality terms agreed before any file moves
- A named team rather than a rotating pool
What we do, and what stays with your UK accountant.
Being clear about this upfront saves a difficult conversation in month three.

- Advice on UK tax positions
Don't have a UK accountant? Most clients already do. We work alongside them rather than around them.
We are an Indian accounting firm. We do not hold UK regulatory registration and do not provide UK tax advice or make statutory submissions on your behalf. Our work is the accounting layer underneath those filings.
Your morning post is our afternoon's work.
The five and a half hour gap is an advantage rather than an obstacle. Queries raised in your morning are answered before your day ends; work sent at your close is progressed overnight and waiting when you start. Because everything runs on cloud software you already use, there is no migration, no parallel system and nothing for your clients or your accountant to relearn. We have worked this way with overseas clients since 2017, and the engagement starts small enough that you can judge the output before anything larger moves.
What it looks like month to month.
We work in yours
Xero and QuickBooks Online are the most common, with Dext, AutoEntry and FreeAgent alongside. No migration is required and no add-on is imposed.
However suits you
Through your document capture tool, a shared drive, email or WhatsApp. Nothing is posted, and nothing needs printing.
On your systems
Access is granted on your platforms under your control, with confidentiality and data-handling terms agreed before any access is given.
A fixed monthly close
Books closed and the reporting pack delivered on an agreed date each month, rather than whenever the queue clears.
The same person
A named accountant on your file, reachable on WhatsApp and email during the overlap window.
Up and down
Capacity flexes with your season, so you aren't carrying a fixed cost through a quiet quarter to have hands in a busy one.
Four steps, small first.
Scoping call
Transaction volume, software, VAT position, who your accountant is, and what you actually want off your desk.
Written scope
What sits with us, what stays with your accountant, the monthly delivery date and the fee — agreed before anything begins.
Pilot month
One month or one book, so you can judge output quality and turnaround before anything larger moves across.
Monthly rhythm
Books closed on the agreed date, reporting pack delivered, queries answered in your morning window.
What UK clients ask before starting.
Are you regulated in the UK?
No. TaxKitab is an accounting firm based in India. We do not hold UK regulatory registration, we do not provide UK tax advice, and we do not make statutory submissions on your behalf. We do the accounting work that sits underneath those filings, and your UK accountant handles the rest.
Do you submit our VAT returns to HMRC?
We prepare the VAT working and the reconciliation behind it, ready for review. The submission itself is made by you or your UK accountant through your MTD-compatible software.
Which software do you work in?
Yours. Xero and QuickBooks Online are the most common among UK clients, along with Dext, AutoEntry and FreeAgent. We don't ask you to migrate.
What about data protection?
Access sits on your systems rather than ours, and the scope of who can see what is defined in writing before any access is granted. Where UK data protection obligations apply to you, we agree the appropriate terms as part of the engagement documentation.
How does the time difference actually work?
India is five and a half hours ahead. In practice your morning is our afternoon, so queries get answered the same working day, and anything sent at your close is progressed before you start again.
Can we try it before committing?
Yes, and we'd recommend it. A pilot on one month or one book costs you little and tells you more than any proposal will.

Have an India entity or team as well? That side sits with our Global Desk and global payroll service. Other country desks: USA, Germany, UAE.
Tell us about the books.
Transaction volume, software, VAT position and who your accountant is. We'll come back with a pilot scope within a few hours. Prefer to talk now? WhatsApp or call us directly.
Start with one month.
Send us the volume, the software and what you'd like off your desk. We'll propose a pilot month so you can judge the output before anything larger moves.
